Finding Shadow... as told by her Mom Dear Vicky and Dakota, Thank you so much for finding our kitty. As you know she was lost for 4 days before you came out. I spent those days outside looking for her and calling her. We were so worried for her because it was cold and she hadn't eaten anything. In the house she always comes to me when i call her. But outside she was to scared, and since I did not know where she was, I couldn't get close enough for her to come. You and Dakota were awesome! Dakota found her within 10 minutes under a neighbors shed. She was too scared that day to come out (after seeing Dakota) but I wanted to let you know that the next day, I went up to talk to her and as soon as she herd my voice she started crying. I got down on the ground and looked under the shed calling her all the while and she calling back to me. within a few minutes she stuck her little paw out to touch my hand and in only a few more minutes she was brave enough to come right out and into my arms. I tucked her in my jacket and took her home. Without you I would not have know where she was and would not have been able to coax her out. She was too scared before when I was calling her from far away. Thank you so much, she was so happy to be home and wouldn't leave my side for days. I even had to stand by the litter box with her. Dakota truly was a star, I was amazed at how quick he picked up her scent and took us right to the shed. Anyone who has ever had a pet knows the horrible stress and worry when your furry friend goes missing. After a few days you start thinking that they might be gone for good. Just knowing where she was and that she was safe and near by was a huge comfort. Thank you again, Dannielle DuBois and Shadow
